Floor Protectors

Lightweight yet very durable, Pioneer “Ash” floor protectors are ideally suited for gas, wood and pellet fires. Tested with Metro fires, Pioneer floor protectors comply with the minimum (non insulating) floor protector requirements of AS/NZS2918:2001, and are ideally suited for heating appliances that do not require an insulated floor protector.

Available in either pacific rimu, pine or black alloy trim in a range of sizes to suit both corner or straight wall installations, as detailed. Tile options vary depending on the trim selected. Consult your retailer to view the full range of Pioneer tile colour options available.

Alloy Trim

This unobtrusive yet stylish floor protector is Pioneer’s most competitively priced option, offered with a black tile only. Trim is a folded one-piece black anodised aluminium extrusion which eliminates sharp corners and visible screws and fixtures. The wall style is available in four sizes with the corner style available in three sizes.

Pine Trim

The visible grain of the pine is enhanced with a rimu-coloured stain, giving the trim a natural look which is complemented with either smooth or textured tiles. Both wall and corner styles are offered in two varying sizes, which are available in Pioneer’s full range of tile colour options.

Pacific Rimu Trim

Pioneer’s premium range of floor protectors are trimmed with a pacific rimu edging which is machined and oiled, giving it the effect of style and quality which it deserves. Both wall and corner styles are offered in two varying sizes, which are available in Pioneer’s full range of tile colour options.

Floor Protector Specifications

All measurements shown are in mm. The dimensions shown are nominal only. Actual floor protector dimensions may alter slightly to accommodate the varying sizes of the actual tile used. Please note:

  • Pine and pacific rimu trim floor protectors - When calculating the minimum size floor protector your heating appliance requires, the floor protector is the tiled area only: trim measurement “x” does not form part of the floor protector and must be deducted from your calculations.
  • Alloy trim floor protectors - The overall dimensions constitute an “Ash Floor Protector” as the alloy trim is not a combustible material.
